Got my own borrowed Axxis out on the water today after fixing it this morning. Conditions were great (again...) and my first run out was good, better than on the wave board (earlier planing, smoother over the chop, much easier going upwind), until.....one of the screws on the back footstrap came out. I had seen it looked a bit dodgy before I went out but thought I would risk it. Bad move. Limped back in after only 5 minutes out on the water. Need to get some epoxy hardener in there to lock the screw in place. Hopefully will be OK for tomorrow since practically all of the centre boards are being used/repaired now, so no spare boards for me to use.

Still, was good to get out and get my hair wet, and try out my own board, if only briefly.
